Shriners Hospitals for Children is network of pediatric specialty hospitals, founded by Shrine, where children under the age of 18 receive excellent medical care without financial obligation to patients or their families. The are 18 orthopedic Shriners Hospitals, three Shriners Hospitals dedicated to treating children with severe burns, and on Shriners Hospital that provides orthopaedic, burn and spinal cord injury care. Shriners Hospitals at located throughout North America 20 the United States and each in Mexico and Canada. These “Centers of Excellence” serve as major referral centers for children with complex orthopedic and burn problems.

Outreach Clinics are intended to identify children through age of 17 who can benefit from expert orthopedic, spinal cord, and burn care provided by Shriners Hospitals for Children. No appointment is necessary the emphasis is orthopedic, spinal cord and burn care, the hospital other services, including plastic surgery for the non-burn related scarring, birthmarks, abnormal skin growths, congenital ear deformities, and cleft lip and palate repair. Springfield
Shriners Hospital in Springfield, Massachusetts has for 78 years provided FREE surgical and therapeutic treatment for conditions of the bone, muscles and joints to children from birth to 18 years of age. All care while patient at Shriners Hospital is provided without financial obligation to the patients or their families to the patient’s family, insurance company or any government agency.

First Rate Care – highly skilled medical staff provides first rate care to 1,000 inpatients and 13,000 outpatient annually. The medical staff is comprised of three full-time, board certified orthopaedic surgeons who are fellowship trained in pediatric orthopaedics, pediatrician/pediatric rheumatologist, part-time orthopaedic surgeons, and over 90 consulting physicians and surgeons.

Chicago
The Chicago Shriners Hospital is a leading Midwest children’s hospital providing high quality pediatric orthopedic surgery, plastic, reconstructive and craniofacial surgery and spinal cord injury care. Located on the northwest side of Chicago, the hospital is a short term, 60-bed facility that combines quality medical care with innovative education and research. Philadelphia
The Shriners Hospital in Philadelphia is a 59-bed pediatric orthopedic hospital providing a complete range of specialized medical and rehabilitation services without financial obligation to patients or their families. We provide state-the-art medical care for children with spinal cord injuries, as well as host of orthopaedic and neuromusculoskeletal disorders and diseases, supporting the family every step of way.

Boston
Shriners Hospitals recognize that the family plays a vital role in a child’s ability to overcome an illness or injury. The Boston Hospital recognizes that each patient is part of a family unit that needs to be supported through interaction with the healthcare team. The patient and family are part of that team, and their participation is encouraged and supported. The Boston Shriners Hospital has a special program for siblings, as well.

Galveston
The Galveston Hospital Rolex Watches has been actively engaged in clinical and basic research since its opening. Research activities at the Galveston Hospital focus on five major areas: cardiopulmonary problems; metabolism; molecular responses to injury; wound healing; and long-term outcomes of burned children. The Galveston Hospital was a pioneer in developing special pressure garments, called Jobst garments, which burn patients wear to help reduce scarring.

Cincinnati
The Cincinnati Hospital recognizes that each patient is part of a family unit that needs to be supported through interaction with the healthcare team. The patient and family are part of that team, and their participation is encouraged and supported. We have been designated by the American Burn Association and the American College of Surgeons as a Verified Burn Center, meeting the highest standards of burn care.

Sacremento
Shriners Hospitals for Children Northern California is a JCAHO-accredited medical center providing pediatric care in three specialty programs; orthopedics, spinal cord injury treatment and rehabilitation, and acute burn treatment and rehabilitation.
